TROY/MARYVILLE CHAMBER FOUNDATION AWARDS FIVE SCHOLARSHIPS

The Troy/Maryville Chamber Foundation is proud to announce they have awarded five $1,000 scholarships to five Triad seniors.  The students were presented with their certificates on May 15 at Triad Senior Night.

Each year, the Troy/Maryville Chamber Foundation accepts applications from seniors, asking them to complete an application, provide two letters of recommendation, submit their high school transcript and also write an essay on how they plan to change the world.  There were so many great essays this year that the judges noted it was the toughest year to date.
    
The following five students were awarded the scholarship:
• Hannah Sparks
• Olivia Kohler
• Dane Henderson
• Jacob Metcalf
• Donald Becker
    
To fund the Foundation, the Troy/Maryville Chamber Foundation hosts an annual Fore! The Foundation Golf Tournament on the first Friday of every October (October 4, 2024) and also accepts donations for the Foundation.  All proceeds from the golf scramble go directly to the Troy/Maryville Chamber Foundation and all donations to the Troy/Maryville Foundation are tax deductible.  Be sure to consult with your accountant.  
    
“This year, Truck Centers surprised the Foundation with a $10,000 donation to the Troy/Maryville Foundation and it allowed the Foundation to kick up the number of scholarships awarded this year and in future years” said Dawn Mushill, President/CEO of the Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce.  “We hope the scholarship helps all five students with the cost of their education, housing and food” said Mushill.  
    
The Troy/Maryville Chamber Foundation operates as an arm to the Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce.  This is the fifth year the Foundation has been in place.
