Electrician

CMC Electric, Inc. is seeking to hire experienced electricians for immediate full-time positions in their residential and commercial divisions, providing electrical work including new installation, troubleshooting/repair, remodel, and servicing of residential and/or commercial electrical systems. The ideal candidates are motivated self-starters who can work independently and find solutions to complete jobs accurately and efficiently.

Journeyman candidates should have 4+ years of residential and/or commercial electrical experience OR have 2+ years of said experience and have completed coursework at a Trade School, Technical College, or approved Apprenticeship Training Program

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with NEC standards.
• Utilize hand and power tools, including voltmeters and ohmmeters, to troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Read blueprints and schematics to determine layout and installation procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations on construction sites while providing excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to complete projects efficiently.

Job Requirements Include:

• Knowledge of NEC codes and referencing service guides, schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify problems
• Ability to work from a ladder, in tight spaces, and in the summer heat and winter cold.
• Knowledge and use of a variety of hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift/carry 50+ pounds.
• Troubleshooting skills to identify malfunctions and make necessary repairs.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to work after-hours or on-call as needed.
• Be well-groomed, dependable, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
