    Scott Credit Union is looking to hire a Full-Time Core Systems Manager to join our amazing Information Technology team. This Core Systems Manager position works Full-time hours.

     *This position is eligible for flexible work location assignment

    The Day to Day as a Core Systems Manager

    • This position will lead, configure, and manage the credit union's core banking, operations automation, and imaging systems to ensure secure, efficient and highly available operations. Implement assigned Information Technology (IT) projects by collaborating with senior management, department/branch managers, end users, IT staff, and vendors.  Serve as a project leader on assigned projects. Plan, direct, and manage all activities of the core systems team. When required, assist with Audit, Risk Management, security assessment and helpdesk tasks.  Maintain relationships with core system vendors.
      • Actively monitor the core, operations automation, and imaging system to ensure secure, optimal and highly available operation.
      • Facilitate the design and development of applications for departments.  Act as a key technical Tier 2 liaison between core systems users, vendors, and IT.  Provide project support for projects related to the core banking solution. 
      • Act as primary contact for core system problems.   Analyze, debug, test, and document problems or recommend solutions that involve new applications affecting the core banking solution.   Follow up on problem resolution and inform clients of status.  Test and debug all programs before launching them into production. 
      • Monitor user proficiency in applications and assist with production of materials for on-going training.  Ensure that all core system related updates are communicated to users.  Update online scripts to reflect any resulting changes in systems, departmental procedures, or policies.
      • Coordinate application enhancements to core banking, operations automation, and imaging systems, including analysis, design specifications, documentation, and liaison between vendors and clients.
      • Using PowerOn (repgen) programming, customize the core banking system to update current, or facilitate new functionality.

    Do you have the ability to respond to problems and challenges in non‑scheduled hours of operation, including the need occasionally to work evenings, weekend days, and holidays.  The nature of the job requires the Manager to be accessible for consultation and/or on‑site supervision during unscheduled times. Ability to actively participate in meetings to share and/or gather pertinent information?

    Do you have knowledge of technology equipment, software and services include but are not limited to:  Symitar Core System, Synergy Imaging, Synapsys CRM, OpCon, report generation, and other 3rd party banking solutions?

    Do you have general knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.  Ability to understand credit union software programs and interpret credit union terminology, policies and procedures. Ability to utilize Human Resource Information Systems.  Ability to operate office equipment such as scanner, photocopier, personal computer, printer, and other machines generally found in a contemporary office environment?

    To Be Considered, You’ll Need:

    Bachelor’s degree in IT with a minimum of 5 years work experience in an IT role.

    Minimum two years of experience working with or supporting Core banking systems. 

    OR 

    Associate’s degree in IT with a minimum of 8 years of work experience in an IT role.  

    Minimum four years of experience working with or supporting Core banking systems. 

    AND

    Management experience.

     

    Preferred Qualifications That Could Set You Ahead:

    Experience with Symitar, Synergy, Synapsys, Xperience, OpCon, credit union and general office software applications, and helpdesk support processes.

    Experience with batch processing, scripting, and automation.

    Experience with Credit Union regulatory policies, and financial industry processes.

     

    Salary Range 

    The typical pay range for this role is:

    $93,600 - $122,720
